  • Provide funds to local Ukrainian rehabilitation center to conduct amputees with standard of care comprehensive programs

  • Obtain and organize delivery of modern innovative  prosthetic parts to accommodate war provoked raising wounded solders rehabilitation programs

  • Identify and locate potential clients based on their medical needs and necessities;

  •  Provide proper medical and financial evaluation, organize and conduct interview with potential clients;

  • Obtain legal forms and applications so clients can travel to the allocated institute providing rehabilitation program.

  • Locate medical institutions and clinical facilities offering required, recommended or desirable medical services

  • Arrange client assessment and pre-treatment consultation with appointed medical organization in order to select optimal program – patient match.

  • Facilitate clients’ arrival to the treatment destination and patronize them for the duration of their stay.

  • Assisting clients in their travel needs to return home.

  • Locate Ukrainian maxillofacial surgical departments to learn about their needs in restoring wounded soldiers with lost oral structures;

  • Locate and interview potential patients for complete mouth rehabilitation in US after war-related injuries;

  • Create and discuss prospective treatment plan for the optimal outcome to the patient's satisfaction;

  • Facilitate clients arrival to receive dental recovery services for each stage of treatment till completion;

  • Assisting clients in their travel needs for obtaining maximally positive and least stressful experience correlated with our dental services

WAHOO is bringing hope and healing to Ukrainian soldiers suffering from maxillofacial ballistic trauma from gunshots, landmines, and other war-related injuries – all through advanced dental care. 

 

Why Full Mouth Rehabilitation?

 

War is hell. There is no simpler way to put extreme violence and secondary effects that will disproportionately affect soldiers and civilians in conflict-torn areas. In the wake of the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War, countless soldiers face more than the loss of their brothers and sisters but also the loss of normalcy with eating, drinking, chewing, and offering a simple smile at a sunrise.

 

During battle, projectiles, gunshots, and explosions can wreak havoc on the mouth and oral cavity. Everything from skin lacerations to obstructions to missing teeth and jaw fractures traumatize the human body beyond recognition.

 

WAHOO is proud to extend its nonprofit services to full oral rehabilitation using dental implants and trauma care. Our goal is not just to restore essential teeth, jaw, and mouth health through dental implants but to restore the dignity and quality of life of soldiers suffering from severe dental trauma. We connect this in-need population with experts providing jawbone reconstruction and dental implants that allow those making great sacrifices to enjoy a higher quality of life.

Eligibility & Criteria

We prioritize aid for veterans and civilians most affected by the Russo-Ukrainian War based on transparent and rigorous criteria. If you are interested in partnering with our non-profit or growing your goals alongside our efforts, please get in touch with our team. Every project is considered after we research and perform our due diligence.

 

While 99% of the partners we work with are fully focused on helping and supporting the war recovery effort, there are always those seeking to profit from the harm being done, and we will not support such actions.
